Purpose of Job

 

The Sr. Analyst, P2P Performance reports into Procurement Operations to the Manger, P2P Enablement and Performance and contributes to the overall success of Global Procurement Services department serving the global enterprise ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Sr. Analyst of P2P Performance act as a main point of contact for all activities related to P2P platform performance (reporting and monitoring). Also, will support the department with other responsibilities (as required) in support of department’s overall goals

 

 

 Major Accountabilities

 

 

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Applies knowledge of procurement best practice and general business practice to lead their team in the triage of goods and services intake requests, and respond to inquiries related to Procurement Policy and Procedures, and other related policies.
Operate the Bank’s procurement technology solutions for conducting monitoring on CLM, Supplier/Contract Master Data Management, P2P, TPRM, etc. duties.
Performs and monitors Buyer Action (no CTR attached, broken approval chain, missing contract, etc.)
Monitor P2P KPIs and conduct activities  to drive actions (E.g. Req. Approval, Receipt lag)
Monitor and validate documentation on PR Approval above $5MM threshold
Contract monitoring and escalation (I.e. Invoice to CTR# validation)
Timely Payment Monitoring
Prepare and maintain reports and dashboards that monitors SmartBuy/Coupa performance
Escalates issues Manager, suppliers, or other internal stakeholders and tracks to resolution
Prepares Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation and follow procedures accordingly to ensure data quality and consistent delivery of service according to established Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).
Prepares Problem Resolution Procedure (PRP) documentation and follow procedures accordingly for efficient and consistent resolution of common problems to be solved or further escalated
Based on the user feedback, act as advisor to identify opportunities for system/process improvements.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

 Education/Work Experience/Designations

 

 

College Diploma or University Degree in related field
2+ years of project management, business administration, business analysis, data analysis, business process improvement, and/or business help desk, operations experience
3+ years of experience working with excel
Experience working in P2P Enablement and Performance
Service and customer-oriented attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals
Strong business and analytical skills, ability to focus on key issues and solve problems
Self-starter willing to learn and assume ad-hoc responsibilities (as required)
Works well under pressure and time constraints and can prioritize/balance multiple priorities appropriately
Experience in business analysis is an asset
Accurate and thorough investigative skills
Previous experience with Procurement and Procurement Technology (i.e. COUPA, Icertis)
Communication in English plus Spanish is preferred (but not required)
