3D Rigging Lead

We’re looking for a highly experienced 3D Rigging Lead to help us bring this new world to life.

You’ll be joining a vibrant entertainment company known for creating, developing and producing award-winning, hit shows such as True and the Rainbow Kingdom for Netflix, the smash-hit PAW Patrol, Mattel’s Ever After High; and our own Emmy Award nominated series Justin Time. Our studio also contributed visual development on the Academy Award nominated animated feature The Breadwinner.

The Rigging Leads role encompasses:

Responsibilities:

  • Use available studio tools to rig characters and props
  • Supervise and mentor other members of the team on technique and execution
  • Oversee the team’s rigs to ensure they meet production requirements for quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Work with Animation to understand rig requirements to create and adjust optimal rigs for production.
  • Assign and Manage team to ensure work and tasks are completed per schedule
  • Collaborate with Supervisors, Leads, and Production team throughout production, ensuring fulsome communication and mitigating any issues.
  • Collaborate with technical team providing feedback in rigging and overall asset pipeline

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Production rigging experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Maya rigging
  • Experience with modular and procedural rigging systems is preferable.
  • Python knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge in modeling and texturing.
  • In-depth understanding of cartoon animation principles and how they apply to rigging
