ECi PrintFleet is seeking a Comptroller to continue to provide the best in Software Solutions to small and medium sized businesses

Reporting to the CFO you will be responsible for the accounting operations of the global company including managing a team of two reports. The successful applicant will have a CPA and have worked in a controller role for 5-10 years.

The Controller will be responsible for all of the financial reporting and filings, ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. As part of a multinational company, the Controller will coordinate with PrintFleet’s European subsidiary regarding accounting matters and reporting and should have knowledge and ensure compliance of regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions that PrintFleet does business.

The controller, with the finance team will oversee billing of PrintFleet’s customers and payment to PrintFleet’s suppliers and will also manage the month end closing process to provide a timely close. The preparation of Financial statements will involve reconciliation of inter-company accounts including consolidation and preparation of financial statements coordinate and the Controller will be responsible for leading the year end process along with working papers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Clerks and accounting entries, check and post entries
  • Supervise and check and all relevant JE’s and analysis
  • Close month end, year-end (for both the Parent company and subsidiary)
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements
  • Assist CFO with budgeting/forecasting/analysis
  • Month end reports to management (Financial Statements, Financial Report)
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Creating and maintaining schedule of accounts in the accounting software
  • Production of monthly consolidated financial reports
  • Prepare government returns & remittances
  • Month end departmental reporting
  • Coordinate with Development, external SRED team for SRED filings
  • Coordinate with Auditors for year-end Audit
  • Manage cash/provide daily cash report
  • Map and improve on current business processes, and review PrintFleet’s controls and propose and implement new controls where necessary to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
  • Enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results
  • Calculate sales commissions/bonuses for PrintFleet’s salesforce
  • Provide a diverse range of adhoc financial and operational analysis with the CFO.
  • Coordinate with Sales in administering Salesforce


  • The successful applicant will have a CPA and have worked in a controller role for 5-10 years
  • International Finance Experience is a must
  • Experience with ERPs such as Accpac/Sage 300 required, NetSuite a plus
