The Role:


The Sr Manager- Program Delivery is accountable for actively supporting delivery teams through a number of interrelated, complex and high profile initiatives that require planning, creating an integrated and cohesive delivery plan.  Regardless of the delivery framework (scrum, project, program management) you will foster and support productive, engaged and capable delivery team(s).  Ensure key metrics provide the basis for teams to deliver quality customer experiences, in a timely manner while building and fostering a culture of transparency with the ability to inspect and adapt as required. 


 Is this role right for you?

Reporting to the Director, Organizational Agility and actively engaged with cross-functional product and technologists, you will: 

•    Manage complex initiatives with stakeholders that span multiple cross-functional teams
•    Actively facilitate meetings focused on clarity, with an appropriate level of urgency for calls to action and exceptional communications skills 
•    Enable transparency by collecting, analyzing and reporting on agreed to common team metrics 
•    Act as a health monitor for the collective team – checking that commitments, pace and quality are as expected, engaging appropriately with the team when data points indicate track 
•    Work with and apply delivery frameworks for effective workflow visualization and management 
•    Work with the team to proactively identify obstacles, resolving with input from team, product owners/ stakeholders and escalating where appropriate
•    Foster strong relationships with Product Owner/Stakeholders focused on sustained value delivery and  quality that delights users
•    Nurture strong relationships and collaboration with IT Engineering/Development stakeholders including Architecture, Development, Release Management and Quality Testing.

 Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels (from technical discussions to high level executive);
•    Skilled in applying a pragmatic approach to coaching teams with the ability to adapt based on the ‘readiness’ of the team(s) they are working with;
•    Strong customer-centric view, strong team player, willing to work closely with colleagues from multiple teams in a mutually collaborative manner;
•    Experience with the Atlassian suite such as Jira and Confluence, MS Office software
•    Experience in the financial services industry or in a global consulting organization, delivering large complex projects that have significant IT and operational components is a must
•    College/University Degree, Scrum Master, Product Owner designation, PMP, PgPM Designation an asset
