Senior Manager, Finance, Transformation: FBO Tailoring – FR -Y15 Reporting

In this role as an Senior Manager, Finance/Transformation/FBO Tailoring-FR-Y15 Reporting you will contributes to the overall success of the Transformation / FR Y-15 Regulatory Reporting in United States / US / NYC / globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. 
Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Prepare financial and nonfinancial materials for reporting Federal Reserve Reporting (e.g. F R Y-15).
Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and anticipated new reporting requirements as needed.
Implement, monitor, and report on governance and controls around FR Y-15 reporting.
Work with internal stakeholders and IT to implement FR Y-15 onto strategic regulatory reporting platform.
Prepare materials for Management and senior officers to review regulatory filings.  Create controls around the reporting process.
Train internal stakeholders as needed, in the preparation and interpretation of FRB regulations.
Work closely with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, IT, Change Management) to address and enhance reporting of Systemic Risk.  Assist in building out requirements for growth of firm.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
This role must collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and senior executive  across the bank.
The incumbent is required to exercise a high degree of independent judgment, work closely with functional areas across the firm.
Requires frequent interface with all levels of management
Able to work effectively in a dynamically changing environment.
Able to enforce compliance with banking and departmental policies and procedures, escalate as needed.
Strong accounting and regulatory reporting background
Strong knowledge of Capital Markets products.

Understanding of bank and capital markets products
Regulatory reporting experience
MBA/CPA a plus
