The Cheque Processing Services team manages change to the technology ecosystem to ensure Cheque Processing operates as a stable and reliable service. We seek out and deliver continuous enhancements to make the Bank more efficient, and to reduce costs.
Through expert knowledge of cheque processing, the Business Solution Expert is a senior contributor who will work with business/operational stakeholders and technology resources to gather requirements, design solutions and facilitate business and technical collaborations. The incumbent will possess full knowledge of all phases of the cheque processing lifecycle, with a particular emphasis on inbound and outbound exceptions. The BSE will also contribute to the management of key internal and external stakeholder relationships including Payments Canada, IBM, Symcor and various internal business partners.
Is this role right for you?
Provides expert knowledge of cross-functional technical and business processes related to the cheque processing domain.
Responsible for the successful implementation of solutions for projects, supporting highly complex business applications with complex integration needs across multiple technology disciplines.
Respond to/provide guidance on day to day issues (2nd level support) and inquiries related to cheque processing.
Maintain up to date knowledge of related rules and regulations and ensure BNS compliance with same.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The incumbent must have expertise in designing and implementing very complex business and technical processes across the enterprise.
Expert knowledge of cheque processing including “Day 2” exception processing.
Expert knowledge of core accounting principles and best practices for financial oversight.
Experience building and managing 3rd party vendor relationships.
