Senior Financial Analyst, Planning, Forecasting & Analysis

Job Purpose:

Contributes to the overall success of the Planning, Forecasting & Analysis team in Technology Finance ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
 
 

Key Accountabilities:

Supports development of financial plan and forecasts for selected groups
Supports month-end close and prepares month end financial reports  
Owns saving tracker
Responsible for reporting usage charges for Private and Public Cloud 
Responsible for reconciliation of software charge-outs for selected software vendors 
Supports other requests/projects
Supports Relationship Managers to champion a customer focused culture, leverages system and finance knowledge to maintain strong relationships with various IT&S areas.
Contributes to the maintenance of strong financial governance through implementing best practices. 
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Experience / Education:

 

Excellent technical skills in MS Excel 
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of financial and management reporting principles as applied to banking issues, and an understanding of the business planning process, dealing with accounting systems, budgets and internal controls
Undergraduate degree in relevant field with progress towards a professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA) or graduate degree (e.g. MBA) preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position
